General Album Comments

Seanchan: I think Im going to need to see a doctor from the genre whiplash this album gave me. This is gonna be one of those albums where every song is in someones top 5 and someone elses bottom 5.

Not an unenjoyable listen but one that will definitely need more listens to digest.

the first song was like okay alright. Then the next is a complete tonal shift and its like okay one of THOSE albums. Then there was some stuff I was a little eh on. Then one that is COMPLETELY different than the songs around it and Im like the fuck!?!

In reading their bio on Spotify this kind of seems like its their thing to be all over the map and not be pigeon holed.

jcgamer107: Imo Ween's best album from start to finish. I would put the opening 3 tracks up against the first 3 tracks of any other album. If you don't like the style of the current song....just wait till the next one.

BlueCrystalTear: First impression: A rare example of an album that has numerous stylistic shifts that isn't jarring so much as shocking how it can be pulled off. It's awesome in how it can shift yet still sound like a cohesive whole; for an extremely different reason than Green Day, the sequencing matters quite a lot, and a different order might've felt disjointed.

Johnbobb: the first Ween album I listened to took at least like 4 listens to even know if I actually liked it. This one is similarly all over the place, but I think it's actually a little more comprehensible than that one was, with at least some stylistic similarities song-to-song, and just so many killer tracks along the way. They're so bizarre but I also really dig them, and Ween might be slowly squeezing its way into being one of my favorite bands

neonreaper: I enjoyed this album. It's super quirky and dynamic, while having strengths that they go back to. The melancholy and introspective tracks stand out to me, as well as the atmospheric tracks. And the 'strange' songs keep things lively. After the first few songs in my ranking, I have a handful that I enjoyed more than the others. That said, I could see much of this list shuffling around based on mood.

BlueCrystalTear: This album honestly feels like it took songs from four different projects and wove them together in the order they fit the best. On a song-by-song basis, it's quite strong, with only four and a half songs I'd consider not my jam for either being way too sleepy or like murder on my ears.

Seanchan: There's a lot to like here, despite (or perhaps because of?) how manic it is with the genre changes. With that said, this isn't an album that's strong front to back. There's a tier of songs I like (my ranked 1-6), another tier I'm okay on (my ranked 7-10/11), and then the not so good ones (10/11-15).

HBJDubs: Pretty evenly split here between songs I like and songs I don't.
