When Hitman 3 came out on Steam, after being a Epic exclusive for a full year, I questioned my Steam loyalty.
You see, Hitman 3 launched on Steam for a full price. And that was after a year that it was in Epic and had plenty of sales. In the holiday sale, the game was 50% off, and together with the Epic Copuon, you could get the base game for $20. So to see people who prefered to wait another month for the Steam release only to need to buy it for full price it was just...disgusting.
And the cherry on the top? when Hitman 3 was released on Steam for a full price....it was STILL 50% off on Epic Store
So anyone that wanted to buy Hitman 3 for Steam actually had to pay double the price...just because it's on Steam
That really broke me because I waited for it and planned for a day 1 purchase :|
Evantually bought it a month later for a 40% off but my loyalty took a huge hit
That's got nothing to do with Steam and everything to do with the publisher hoping to squeeze out as much money as they can.
