neonreaper 12/14/22 10:41:36 AM #16: | One the best 80s albums! All Through The Night - They took a decent 70s singer/songwriter tune and turned into an 80s hit. My favorite song on the album. Time After Time - While I might prefer All Through The Night, I have to admit that Time After Time has gotta be her biggest song, perhaps her best song, and one of the essential songs of the 80s, if not all time! Money Changes Everything - I think the original version is actually fine, though a super flat production (especially compared to Lauper's version). Great opening track. Girls Just Want to Have Fun - A great cover of a song with a perspective shift. She Bop - I was way too young to realize that this song was about. Catchy tune and a terrific side b opener. When You Were Mine - this version slays Prince's original I'll Kiss You Yeah Yeah - I like the production a bit better here than the original but I guess I feel like there's a better version that hasn't been recorded. He's So Unusual - Heavy thematic ties for the album and a cheeky lead-in to Yeah Yeah but as a standalone track it can't compare to most of the other tracks Witness - I just don't get into this one --- Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter? Walter: No, Donny. These men are cowards. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
