It's definitely it's own universe, but it seems to draw nearly everything from the comics lore of things. The only exception I've noticed is that Tony Stark appears to have created Ultron in this universe, which I was a bit annoyed by, but aside from that it seems 100% inspired by the comics. --- I stream sometimes.
