It would really be something if 6 teams from the other continents made the round of 16 and none of them could get through one round of the knockout stage. I guess it would not be surprising, but still feels a bit weird for the other continents to be out just like that after having a very good group stage. While the gap between Europe/South America and the rest of the world is narrowing they still haven't made the jump to the top tier.
