Topic | Joe Rogan goes after The Rock about steroids |
pinky0926 12/06/22 8:09:47 AM #34: | El_Marsh posted... He is a human being, not a "brand" The man literally has a fitness brand. He sells his physique as a marketing tool for his brand image and movies. He denies steroid use as part of this marketing image. The rock is one of many people in the fitness/hollywood space lying about steroid use for personal/monetary gain. It's something I think about a lot as someone who spends a significant time training and following strength sports. If you aren't aware, steroid abuse in teenagers and male body dysmorphia because of it is a huge problem now. It's something that enters my peripheral quite a lot. So no, it's not an obsession with the rock specifically, he is just one example of many. We could be talking about liver king or mike o hearn or chris hemsworth or lasha talakhadze, the conversation is still the same. If you have any interest in the point I'm making beyond writing it off as celebrity obsession, here is a video that summarises the problem quite well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7K-0UQeRnY --- CE's Resident Scotsman. http://i.imgur.com/ILz2ZbV.jpg ...
