This was my thought, and no outside of just appearance. That liver king guy sold products and introduced false lifestyles to thousands for financial gain. One is a con artist, one is just an actor.

Not dismissing it at all, but they are different scenarios here.

Yes, which is why it would be huge if the rock did this. He's pretty untouchable at this point, more money than God. He could afford to open up the conversation.

Like how silly would you look as a brand for dropping the rock because he was being honest about steroid use.

It's a little more nuanced than that. It's not so much that his physique is all that superhuman in any single photo. And he has been training very hard his entire life. Someone who consistently builds for 3 decades should have a lot of muscle.

It's the fact that he's that lean and that heavy year round at his age, all the time. Like he doesn't ever have an off season, and by this point in his life his testosterone production should be through the floor.

When looking at celebrity physiques, it's rarely the size of them that's the give away. It's the speed and consistency which they attain it., along with looking super lean. Being able to pack on like 40lbs of lean mass in a year while staying sub 12% body fat is extremely sus.

I don't think the rock is blasting ungodly amounts of tren but I certainly think he's topping up on trt at the least.

It's not a problem that he's on steroids, it's that he's not honest about it. That's pretty explicitly stated in the video and really clear when you consider that Rogan admits to being on TRT since his late 30s in it.

It's quite noticeable when a gal has breast implants or liposuction. It's not immediate obvious for steroids.

But since you brought it up, there definitely needs to be disclaimers on photoshopped pics on social media. It's giving kids a false perception of what their body should look like and this misconception is terrorizing youth's mental health as a result.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsXU3uayBAM

Even then, this glamorization and chase after certain looks is warping people's expectations of what beauty is and damaging their self-esteem for not looking the part.

He is a human being, not a "brand"

Quite honestly, that's a huge problem with this celebrity worship nonsense.

It's all smiles and adoration until you get bored and then you have to muddy them up a bit to keep your interest, never mind that it's an actual human being that you're fucking with along the way.

You make up these little scenarios where "I must know the truth for the good of humanity" or some such but all you're doing is being a creepy little ass to a complete stranger who happens to be successful at playing film characters.

I don't really give a damn about the Rock in all honesty but I think this desire to have him "come clean" about his personal habits is carny nonsense.

It's a pretty shit hobby if that's what you're really into.

I live in an non-NA country, and I can say that The Rocks image really does make people notice stuff out here. Someone once told me he was the ideal type. And like.. If he is on steroids, that really is an issue. People have unhealthy expectations and views on human anatomy and science because of steroid abuse and Hollywood.

And I am not a Rogan fan at all, this is just my own experience.

The man literally has a fitness brand. He sells his physique as a marketing tool for his brand image and movies. He denies steroid use as part of this marketing image.

The rock is one of many people in the fitness/hollywood space lying about steroid use for personal/monetary gain. It's something I think about a lot as someone who spends a significant time training and following strength sports.

If you aren't aware, steroid abuse in teenagers and male body dysmorphia because of it is a huge problem now. It's something that enters my peripheral quite a lot.

So no, it's not an obsession with the rock specifically, he is just one example of many. We could be talking about liver king or mike o hearn or chris hemsworth or lasha talakhadze, the conversation is still the same.

If you have any interest in the point I'm making beyond writing it off as celebrity obsession, here is a video that summarises the problem quite well:

It's not an issue if you're not a starfucker like so many are.

Rock being on the gas doesn't affect my life in the least.

After reading your follow up post, your issue is obviously not the celebrity worship that many others are guilty of. But you also need to admit that you are part of an industry/lifestyle that MAYBE 2% of American are involved in.

So while it may be a big issue in your profession/hobby, the other 98% of the country really doesn't care if an actor is on the gas or has to train 22 hours a day to look like Kumail did in Eternals.

I'm not saying this in a rude way, even though it may come off that way. You just may be too deep into the world to realize most people are SO far removed from it that it really isn't a concern to them

but honestly its whatever. he's not competing with anyone, his muscles are all just for sure. as long as he isn't doing anything that could kill him, let him do what he wants.

I believe he said he tried steroids when he was younger and it wasn't for him. My guess is he's a "I'm not on steroids, I'm on TRT" kinda guy.

I don't think people hound him about it as much as the liverking but then again, the liverking went out of his way to be combative about the issue so it went down differently.

The Rock is bigger to now than when he was 25-30 and far leaner. Hes not just on TRT, hes juiced to the gills. He has used steroids since he started wrestling, which led to him developing bitch tits, which is why for a good while he wore his $500 shirt in matches.
