And yeah the love for Mulholland Drive is weird to me. I mean it's a good movie but I don't get why it's now elevated so extremely above Lynch's other stuff. Then again I haven't seen it in over a decade. I might get more out of it nowadays.
David Lynch is my favorite director, and Mulholland Drive is my favorite movie so allow me to elaborate.

It's a good movie. The fuck I look like, a writer or something?

The number of black and white movies is setting off my snob alarm

Top 10 films list without mentioning old ass films no one cares about challenge
Nothing personal Doe, you seem thoughtful, but these are the snobbiest posts in this thread. It takes a lot of ego and naivety to invalidate black and white movies or old movies relative to their counterparts.

The greatest film of all time apparently has riveting material such as dropping a fork.
I haven't seen the movie or even read the synopsis you copied and pasted, but a good actor and director can capture a lot in a small moment. Our experiences are rich and layered. Yea, sometimes dropping a fork is just dropping a fork. But not all fork drops are alike. And the differences in those anomalies can communicate a lot of information about the person. Being able to communicate lots of information in a small moment is much more interesting, human, more engaging, and certainly more of an artistic accomplishment than fast moving, loud noise producing, Chinese government approved, CGI children's toys.
