now to watch to see how much my memory got right
i dont think i ever saw a full ep but i came across the song at some point and it just got stuck in my head for a time

That's actually impressive, remembering that much of it. Funnily enough, Google doesn't even try if you search for the lyrics:

Loftey and wendy
Join the crew
Blah blah blah

So you both remember more & are more professional than lyricfind.

And yes, the show appears to be very, very British. (Though I've never seen an episode myself either).

There melody on Seagulls was also adapted for the Owl City song "Vanilla Twilight" which got a music video (featuring Shaquille O' Neal!).

That is cool! I do like seeing different interpretations of songs; my first thought is that I do prefer Seagulls over Vanilla Twilight, but it is fun to compare them.

The next drop is the last song that specifically upgraded to 55 points to join the Wall! We've still got a few songs that were tied at 55 points before everything was thrown together onto this level & joined them, but we're almost through.

#???: Isekaijoucho - Moonflower Confession (3:45):
https://youtu.be/WeHvkBrgcpk

Nominator: UF8 [24/30 Remaining]

Initial Score: 51.11
Revised Score: 52.61
Final Score: 54.96 [Upgraded to 55.00]

(First Reaction: There was a line about killing the sun and, as last year proved, that's worth some extra points. This is no "Snuff Out the Light" or even about literally killing the sun, but hey, I'll take what I can get.)

The backing beat is a often a bit too "thump thump"-y, but I have no complaints about her performance and the lyrics paint an... intriguing picture, albeit one I can't pretend to understand:

I vomited up the indigo feelings infecting me
and at the mercy of the helix, everybody is the nourishment of its creation.

In the immortal words of John Oliver: "...Cool."

But while I find the song intriguing, it's not one I get really drawn into for whatever reason. It's fine and I'd love to read more about the song's history, but it's not quite something I want to listen to on a regular basis.

[Final Thoughts: A song that has a lot going for it lyrically and musically that I can't quite bring myself to actually elevate to the next tier, even as it's right on the cusp of it.]

[Later: Well, I suppose it did wind up getting nudged up to that 55 point tier in the end.]

#???: Franchouchou - Adabana Necromancy (Album Version) (4:08):

Nominator: Player_0 [24/33 Remaining]

Initial Score:57.48
Revised Score: 53.86
FInal Score: 53.86 [Upgraded to 54.076] [Upgraded to 55.00]

(First Reaction: Fairly good anime jrock song. Some of the lyrics, like "Slay the darkness even if you are made to cut through your own bones" are fairly nice, and I don't have any real complaints about the group... but I also don't have much in the way of a specific reaction to it either.)

!There are a few good lines in the song, besides the aformentioned one "who are you calling an affront to God?" is pleasing as a fellow abomination, but it feels like a very typical anime pop song which likely didn't need to go on for four minutes.... it feels like they almost assuredly started with the shorter, TV version of the song & then stretched it out into a full-length song (as opposed to being a song that was actually meant to be full-length from the beginning)... or at least, that's how it feels to me, I obviously have no idea of the production history of these tracks.

[Final Thoughts: Good performances and lyrics, but I'm not sure extending this song to a full length version worked out that well.]

[Later: Slight edit for organizational purposes.]

[Still Later: Hmm... suddenly, there is something oddly infectious about the energy of this pumped-up action group song. I... I may move this up to the "kinda like" level as well, actually.]

[Even Later: Of minor interest is that this song was added to the exactly 55 point level before the Wall was created.]
