Hahaha amaaazing. But I hear they sometimes prefer it like that cause it guarantees that the new hire is the right fit for the team culture wise.
Yes. Referrals always get priority. And both me and the other person they hired had several people who could back that they knew us, worked with us and that we were good. But we still had to pass all the interviews like everyone else and the interviewers didnt know us.

more money for less work and less responsibility? sounds awesome lol.

so what does getting potential applicants to want to interview entail, anyway? taking them to Outback for a blooming onion? i'm basing this guess completely on knowledge gained from The Office.
Right?? Im ready for it.

Lol back in the day before LinkedIn, yeah that was it. Wine and dine people and stuff. Now its inmails and email campaigns. I run Boolean searches on LinkedIn and cold message people who fit the job. Get them on the phone and hype up the job. A lot of recruiters spray and pray to get more responses though and message everyone they can because one keyword showed up but the person isnt a fit at all. So a lot of people think were dumb and dont know what were doing. I have a technical background though so I always message people who are a good fit. Its one of the things all my hiring managers have said about they love about me. I will find exactly what they ask for.
