You have to show that the person isnt acting in their own self interest or with their own cognizance. Which would require at least two doctors to testify to it against him. I know this because Ive gone through this for my wife as well... If I could make him go, hed already be there. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] One physician isnt enough, and I know he hasnt seen a doctor in well over a year. And as I already said its not that easy. And an after the fact ambulance cost is a lot easier to deal with than up front costs for fighting for power of attorney.
