Iirc joker and Alfred have fought before and joker made short work of him. (New 52 so probably re-connect by now. But I believe he cut his hand off with a machete) Joker is no slouch in hand to hand combat he just looks it compared to batman. Take this and he's both clever and unpredictable... yeah Alfred isn't as spry as he once was. Zikten posted... This will probably happen someday. Of course, Joker won't stay dead. But it woukd be a fun story to explore. Maybe in the aftermath, Bruce gets mad at Alfred Haven't seen it myself but my brother told me about a issue where batman walks in on what appears to be a dead body and Alfred pointing a gun at it. Bruce asks if he killed him. Alfred says no I just shot him. The body squirms so Alfred pumps another round into him.
