Even if you took the most US blame approach inflation was caused by mid pandemic spending which Republicans also liked at the time

My understanding is that it's the worst in Europe because they're much more affected by the war in Ukraine, but that the US has worse inflation than non-European first world countries. The supply chain stuff was global, but that's not to say that we couldn't have had a few % lower inflation if we had perfectly calibrated our economic response to covid (which, yes, was bipartisan).
