It feels like Fox are trying to make the Republican party not a personality cult of one man but the ship has sailed on that one.

Feels like a lot of the world is embracing these insane fascist governments really. Might be time to look into moving to a different continent soon

Most of the democratic world is avoiding it, the problem is A) countries with non-proportional voting systems and B) countries with unstable, short cycle governments. Hilariously, the US is both.

If you want out Id recommend Ireland if you can afford the absurd cost of housing.

Nah but seriously, isn't that what truss got annihilated with? Was her budget that much worse than what Rishi's plan is?

Yeah but Truss took it TO THE MAX. Rishi is basically doing the light version. What destroyed Truss (and the UK economy) was not just favouring the rich, but huge tax cuts for the wealthiest (along with broader small tax cuts and highly unpopular moves like scrapping caps on bankers bonuses and bringing back fracking) that were totally uncosted and then delaying any costings by two months. She also pledged no reduction in spending. The markets collapsed as a result of all of this signalling complete economic illiteracy. Sunak just wants to cut spending and not raise taxes even though it wont help. It will be a slow decline rather than a speedy one.
