Oh man, big moment!

Also...get ready to be sick. We started our daughter with daycare at 6 months (currently 8 months) and she likes it we think. But man, we've been sick so much these past 3 months. People aren't joking when they say the kids carry all the germs to you.

How many hours a day will she be gone for?
Oh yeah were mentally preparing ourselves to be sick all the time. In 18 months shes only ever caught one small cold. Shes going to catch everything sigh.

Shell be there from 8:30-3 every day.

Why do you need daycare? One of the parents should stay with the child imo
Well imo two high earning parents are also beneficial. We can provide her with everything and that to me is more important than one of us leaving six figure jobs to stay with her.

My mum used to work in a Montessori. Best of luck to your daughter!
What did your mom think of it? Any truth to the claims? And thanks!

We have a babysitter and sometimes one of her daughters watch our daughter and usually a child of my partner's friend (it's been a different friend every year since they last 1 school year before they find someone else lol). My daughter is 26 months old now. The sitters charge $260 a week. Very cheap and they babysit at my partner's parents' house. Which is about 4 minutes away from my job. So I drop my daughter off every morning. There's a bit of a language barrier though since the sitter doesn't speak English and only 1 of her daughters is fluent. The sitter is a relative of a family friend of my partner. Found out yesterday though that they've been giving our daughter soda.
Wow what a great deal! We have no family around and no one we knew that wed feel comfortable enough leaving her with like that. I would flip my shit if I found out they were sneaking her soda though. I was pissed my mother in law was visiting last week and snuck junk snacks while at the park with her. But I held my tongue because it was the one time.

Nice! I'm sure she'll love socializing with other kids. My son was sad the first time I dropped him off at daycare, but he loved it after that. He's in 2nd grade now.
She does love to play with other kids. She has more friends than we do lol our nanny took her to the park every day at the same time where a bunch of other kids would be at.
