Oh wow! I havent done too much research yet, but it looks to be the opposite around here.

Ideally Id love a nanny that would just come to our house for 40 hours a week.

I feel like Ill probably end up working third shift, and watching the baby during the day
Yeah it might be cheaper in your area. The prices I gave are for SoCal and everything is more expensive here. We found our nanny on care.com. Its like a dating app for nannies lol its a mess trying to find one that isnt flaky but we found 2 gems using the site

<.< If I get a driver's license I'll be your nanny
Lol its a pretty cushy job. My daughter is pretty independent. Our nanny would make her breakfast, take her to the park, make her lunch, put her to nap (and then nap herself), then maybe fold her laundry occasionally. She had access to anything she wanted in our fridge and pantry as well.

Dropping your kids off the first time is very sad. But it's important for socialization.
Thats what I tell myself. My daughter is super social too. I know she will have fun with other kids and learn a bunch more than at home. I on the other hand had no daycare or even preschool. I went straight to kindergarten with minimal interaction with other kids and I struggled with social anxiety for years. So I know this is for the best for her. Im still going to cry my eyes out lol
