In terms of life-action sitcoms, I'm not sure Seinfeld is even the undisputed best there, since The Office has a massive following (although I didn't find it nearly as funny) FrozenBananas posted... just saying, Seinfeld decided to end their show while they were as popular as theyd ever been. It was their own choice, and as they were airing their last 2+ seasons, they were pulling more average viewers than anything Simpsons ever did iirc, wasn't the most-viewed Seinfeld stuff the finals and that was BECAUSE it was the finals? Plus Simpsons is global. There are a lot of nations that haven't even heard of Seinfeld. CedarPointcp posted... yeah, true. But simpsons was never #1 in the weekly nielsen most watched tv show ratings, seinfeld was for like at least a few seasons ...you mean key demo nonsense? Simpsons was number one on multiple weeks in terms of overall viewership. Unless you're an advertiser, key demo ratings -- ie, Nielson show ratings -- don't mean dick. For context, AEW constantly points out the fact it's #1 in the key demo... despite not even being in the top 20 for overall viewers. --- Everybody's got a price / Everybody's got to pay / Because the Million Drachma Man / Always gets his way.
