Part 3 was always super popular in the west, but that was mainly the result of so many people living JoJo vicariously through memes, or the fighting game. Don't forget that there was a time long again where JoJo was fairly well known EXCLUSIVELY because of that Flash page.

Also it was the only part with a decent translation for quite a while so it's all they really read even if they were in fact seeking it out.

Part 4 has been pretty commonly considered the best part since the translation was fixed (I suffered through the original with pride!), though probably not as commonly as Part 7 nowadays.
