BlueCrystalTear: Its a natural closer and it feels like a sweeping epic with the instrumentation and Mikes best vocal on the album. The powerful message of self-rebirth is hugely helpful.

BlueCrystalTear: That killer guitar intro is about it. Also, here in Madison, the Mayan Apocalypse kinda came true because we had a snowstorm called The End of the World - ~21 inches in 36 hours. It may have been this songs fault.

BlueCrystalTear: Also hilarious, and one of the earliest examples of Wendy Lynns violin work (which has since become much more prominent). They don't have many acoustic songs. What DO rich people actually do with their money? (HINT: Its probably just sitting there in the Bank of Geneva)

BlueCrystalTear: Despite the serious subject matter, there are many funny little lyrics in here, like Christmas gift with batteries not included and dont call me Dorothy. Add in the killer bass opener and youve got the albums most enduring song. I also kinda relate to it >_>

BlueCrystalTear: This one always cheers me up. I picture a shirtless moron singing on his desk trying to seduce his TA every single time. Its great to laugh at that image, especially since hes clearly the only student in the class whos not taking it seriously.

BlueCrystalTear: No, its not just because of the video. Amazing drums and a lot of kick-ass. I would definitely say that the people in Paris who went to the eccentric theatre of the same name in the first half of the 20th century would not have been ready for this, either.

BlueCrystalTear: I can kinda relate to the thought of wanting to become a cyborg to distance myself from humanity, but this song shows actually doing it is risky and unsatisfying. People still arent ready for cyborgs. Including the ones that would become them. Music-wise... the riffs are amazing, and this wouldve fit great on The Slingshot Effect.
