Worked my ass off as the sole IT person in a secondary site, gave up on lunch because I couldn't keep up with the tickets anyway and I wanted to do as much as I can
Because I cared and because I wanted to prove myself
Did it for like a year

Everything looked promising for me for promotion. Everyone that were more experienced than me in the main site left the company, and it looked like the position I wanted was about to get open. After all, I worked my ass off, proved myself, and there is no real competition anyway.

Then the boss decided to leave too. And we got a new boss. And of course the new boss doesn't really give a shit about me or what I did or if I even proved myself or not.
But even if he did....said boss decided he wanted to bring over workers from his old job.
So the position I wanted got filled by someone he knew from the previous job

That was enough for me to say fuck it and leave.

By the way said worker left two months later because of "Stress" >_>
