Second job I worked with I had a coworker that was in his late 50s. He had dedicated 15 years of his life to the the company. I tohught that was something to aspire to and decided to always work at a company that valued their employees like that. Current company has two people who have worked there for 20 years each.

Really? I always thought people that worked that long at a company unless they are in a high level position tend to be suckers. It's not like you get a pension & most of the promotions you get tend to be by interviewing for companies outside the company you work for, not within. Big companies almost expect that you are going to leave in a couple years, so deliberately treat you like crap to maximize your value while you work there.
