The entire Android saga is basically bogus because there is absolutely ZERO possibility that the androids could be stronger than Super Saiyans and Frieza.
1. Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon Army as a child. His power level after going to Namek is basically INFINITY times larger especially with the 50x multiplier of Super Saiyan.
2. Frieza had way more advanced technology and knowledge of science than anyone on Earth including Dr. Gero and Bulmas family.
3. On top of all this, Dr. Geros knowledge of Gokus power level came from his fight with Vegeta on Earth This means that he was building the Androids with the idea that they would kill Goku when he was basically 10,000 times weaker than he was after Namek.
Summary: Frieza (alien intergalactic slave trader and planetary warlord) was a much better villain than Cell.
The Android saga would have made MUCH more sense if it came AFTER the Saiyan saga but BEFORE the Frieza saga.
This would mean that:
- Everything is the same up to the point where Goku has his beam struggle battle with Vegeta.
- Once Vegeta flies off in his spaceship, Bulmas father needs time to study the technology and make the spaceship to go to Namek.
- The Z-Warriors have to train for a couple years before they can travel through space to get the new dragon balls to wish back Piccolo who was killed by Nappa.
- During this period of training, Future Trunks comes back to warn Goku and the rest of the gang that the Androids are coming.
- Goku and Gohan train together for years to fight the androids.
- After years of training and preparation, Goku + Gohan are evenly matched or slightly better than the Androids, but then Cell appears, absorbs them and becomes stronger than Goku + Gohan.
- Cell games happen, Goku + Gohan use the hyperbolic time chamber to get another year of training together and they end up defeating cell with a true Father / Son Kamehameha wave.
- Once Cell is defeated, they travel to Namek to fight Frieza and his army who are even more powerful than the Androids and Cell from Earth.
This would have made A LOT more sense.
