Topic	Who is the most recognizable video game character?

Sure some brands fade, but Mario has remained Nintendo's mascot the whole time. So while Pikachu is very recognizable (the movies surely don't hurt), I'd still give the edge to Mario. Maybe you could debate Pac-man. I think the simplicity of Pac-man's design helps as much as the longevity here.
