| andylt 06/30/22 9:00:33 AM #31: | Heart of Concrete Chani's Eyes Aquatic Ambiance Bridge is one of the better FFT tracks but it sounds too canny, like all tracks in that game. I like the part from 1:00 but overall I think I just don't really care for the composer's style, I found FFXII's OST pretty unremarkable as well. Concrete is decent enough, I think it's growing on me. I like the main jingle in the background and how it goes into the loop. Today's best tracks are both in match 2, and they're impossible to compare to each other! Hoist has an excellent intro and I particularly like the Xenoblade-y breakdown at 1:26. But there's something mesmerising about Chani, it's both relaxing and uneasy, and it stays fresh pretty much throughout its runtime. Great find! Aquatic isn't my fav piece of DKC music, in fact I doubt it'd be in my top 20 for the series, but it's still nice. Splatoon music is too experimental for me I think!
