This is honestly cooler than what I'm currently giving it credit for. The echo-y synths are probably the coolest thing about this song, and the sort of spacey vibes I feel at some points are welcomed. A stronger melody would benefit this for sure, but this is pretty good as background music as is.

Let's get this out the way, as obvious as it is: To The Heart is no Paradise (Stay Forever). That song has already stolen my heart and has very much earned its way into my heart, while To The Heart is gonna have to climb a bit to get where I'm placing Stay Forever. That said, I'd be foolish to not appreciate the similar funky city pop style that To The Heart is still using. The instrumentation might not feel as strong to me, but the crisp vocals is still making me cling to my choice here. You win for now, To The Heart.

I remember being surprised at how cool the Night stage songs in Unleashed sounded, and Jungle Joyride is no exception. The percussion, the heavy stings from the piano and the violin work wonderfully together here, and I'm loving how well it nails that "darker atmosphere", as it should for the stage it's creating that atmosphere for. This is better than I remember it being, it's probably in my Top 10 songs for the entire game soundtrack at this point.

Ephemeral Glory has this "Amaterasu from Okami gets stuck in a mechanical clock tower dungeon that appears suddenly in ancient Japan" vibe that I find really interesting. I think the song seems busy at a couple of spots, but I really like the sound overall and really appreciate that this is going for a darker ambience that works well for me.

Tiebreaker Round:
Give me Kirby Air Ride 2 already, and give me City Trial back. I need it.
