I think that politicians need the fear of god put into them even more. Instead they pass laws to make sure they're even more protected, pass laws to make miranda rights no longer mandatory, give even more funding to cops, and put fucking snipers on top of the government buildings.

And then our president has the stones to go "Guys, pls only peaceful protest I beg of you pls be better." Mother fucker, the government is taking away actual civil rights of people. Tragedies are happening constantly and nothing is done about them. And your party is talking about giving even more money to cops while we're in an economic crisis you refuse to do anything else about.

If things got violent and these shit bags didn't constantly feel safe in their ivory towers then maybe they would put a little more effort. If Biden had any fear of anything, he would be doing every nasty thing he could to threaten to torch Manchin and Sinema's careers right now. If they're not going to play ball when it matters, get them the fuck out of here. If they can't fight to uphold fucking Roe v. Wade, then how can they be trusted to uphold anything else that matters as much?

Instead this impotent sack of flesh promises us that he's the only one who can reach across the line and get Republicans to work with him, and it turns out that not only can he NOT do that, but he can't even get his own party in order. What the fuck matters enough to these politicians they may actually work harder than going "Pls only peaceful protest. We're so sorry. But pls also give us money and remember to vote so we have to come up with more excuses to fail at literally anything we promise we'll do something about."

This one is only so egregious because the vast majority of the country actively doesn't want this, including the right wing. Like what the actual fuck? This is an issue that is even split down the middle, it's asinine but it just happened.
