While it may not be accurate to say Republicans are "united" in their goals, there is an underlying ideology that binds most Republicans to their party, with the absolute worst examples of Republicans simply being extremist versions of this ideology.

Democrats are a vague coalition of people that just agree on a base level that the GOP is not good. Their party includes former "RINOs" that think the party has gone too far, corporate Democrats, progressives, and a bunch of other ideologies that are fundamentally opposed to one another. It's a party with no clear focus and thus nothing to offer other than being a safe place to dump your vote if you don't support literal fascism. It's why you have obstructionist Democrats like Manchin and Sinema fucking up any meaningful reform.
