Espio the Chameleon
First Appearance: Knuckles' Chaotix

Yo, they found a way to put a ninja in the Sonic universe and that's pretty cool.

Espio has undergone some changes in his appearance, simply looking like a purple chameleon with a horn that could change colors to upgrading to black and white boots and gloves. He looks great though. He stands out and has a more hardened look to him than the rest of the cast. I like that about him.

I think he serves a good role in the Chaotix in that he's a straight man to Charmy's exhuberance and Vector's overzealousness. He comes across as calm and collected for the most part, and I think that sort of appreciable personality that is needed in the series with big personalities. He comes across as super competent most of the time, which helps and puts him above a lot of characters. I don't think he's ever looked bad in any game, honestly. But he's not been in a ton of them.

I really don't have a lot more to say about Espio. He's just flat out cool, fills his role well, and any time he's around they tend not to waste him or make him seem too, too pointless. I think it's clear they have some kind of soft spot for Espio in Sega too. I base that off of nothing but the fact they seem more careful with him than other characters, and he doesn't have the chance to be annoying or in the way.

Overall, gimme more Espio. He's cool as heck.
