That's SA-55. And I may as well preface that by saying I like SA-55 more than Orbot. Orbot has a good design. He's got his namesake from his shape, where if you put all of his robot parts together, he makes a perfect orb! It's honestly a great design and I love how distinct it looks. He's mostly Eggman sidekick robot from Sonic Colors onward, and he's pretty funny. His shenanigans with Cubot, in particular, are really good too. I think Orbot plays an important role in letting someone bounce off of Eggman. As great as Eggman is, it helps to have someone Eggman can actually talk to and order around. Not all of his comedy lands, unfortunately, but a decent amount of it does. He doesn't actively put me off. I just like Eggman with some decent robot minions and think he works well with it. He's good to be there to do minion stuff as well. I'm not in love with Orbot, but I appreciate his presence for the most part.
