Nah, for bonus points he's in a room with a mummified skeleton of Loki, and then the camera pans back and you realize there are also corpses for his parents on one side of the room and the Warriors Three on the other. Because literally everyone he's cared about for thousands of years is canonically dead.

Then Thor just starts sobbing and the credits roll.
