DSP gave this woman a song and dance, and inticed her with that house to get her there, and it really speaks to how shitty she felt her situation was to be lured there, and be his trophy wife - validation that he's an adult. That's not in itself motive for revenge? He manipulates, and uses people, but you wanna be that guy so bad you don't consider that unhappiness, and him stunting her growth as a person can be motive for revenge?

Are you assuming DSP would bathe and take care of himself even if he was happy with someone? Being dirty and unclean is just part of his personality. It's not the same situation. It just rubs me the wrong way that some people think women would actively sabotage themselves for revenge. It's a gross and reductive thinking and doesn't even make much sense. You said it yourself, he got her there because of the house and money, not because of his hygiene and looks. And before someone says now I'm assuming her of being a gold digger, I'm not. I think she was in a terrible situation and was desperate enough to get away by choosing Phil, especially since he did/does has a cushy life. That's what the pig roach does, he prays on the vulnerable and finds something to offer them that they need, not necessarily something they want out of greed
