Showing the stylized, Hollywood idea of how an assassin works first, only to have a small vent completely ruin that idea and cause the would-be assassin to get stuck and die was a clever twist. Cleverer was having the assassins corpse fire off the fatal shot and finish the job. A good start to the second film, for sure. Ohhhh so that's what happened.
