To recap on Kyle in my own head, he went to a BLM protest in another state armed with some big gun with the intent to "keep the peace", got into a spat, and ended up shooting like 5 people who thought he was a spree shooter, immediately doing the opposite of what he set out to do.

Is constantly made the center of politics but has no real solid political opinions. I don't know I find him kind of uninteresting tbh. He just seems like a dumb kid who made dumb choices. I feel like the main takeaway is "what not to do at a rowdy protest", but people keep painting him like he's a blank canvass.

To recap, Kyle went to his place of work to protect it as riots were going on in the area, people got belligerent with him, he fired to protect himself. BLM supporters got in a twist over it as "their own" got shot until it was outed they were absolute degenerates, then only the most hardcore nutjobs kept paying attention.

His case became a big deal to the right as it affirmed self-defense rights with firearms, and so he keeps being brought back up over and over when he's just a boring ass kid that went through an unpleasant experience.
