And if January 6th, and the COVID restriction protests have taught us anything...the police won't do shit. They'll stand calmly, providing the appearance of protection, but at the end of the day, they will not do SHIT. They might even aid the right-wing in their efforts, because the police are very much on their side. The police "being on their side" didn't stop them from standing around doing nothing during the nationwide BLM rioting either, so maybe the real problem here is that law enforcement in the US is a spineless joke. --- Props to azuarc, the current Guru of the Decade.
