All dogs need training, some breeds have protection instincts, it's ingrained. I didn't have to train my Cane Corso to guard, it was just in her to do so, I took the training from there. A protection trained guardian breed is amazing in its job as a personal protector and estate guardian. Dogs need a job and need to work, people get traditional working breeds and just have them lazing around doing nothing and wonder why they have behavioral problems.

Yeah. That actually does ring a bell. My sister got a sheep herding dog and I think he became a dick because he was made into a house dog lol. I guess more so just don't use pits and dogs not intelligent enough for it as a protection dog.
