This makes sense for three reasons:

1) Men already have higher earnings potential in domestic competitions than women. Who honestly cares if the salaries between the men's and women's rosters makes the same money when the men primarily rely on their overseas or MLS contracts?

2) From a strictly parity standpoint, the women's team has grossed as much if not more revenue a number of years as of late, so it's only fair for the pay to be equal. This is the only sport where that's the case.

3) Women are all but guaranteed to advance significantly further than men, so women earning less than men with that in mind along with 1 and 2 was inane.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
