I'm diabetic so I try and avoid carbs. I do this two ways with hotdogs. The first is using a corn tortilla instead (kinda like a corn dog!!), but the other method is to use 1 bun, and put two hotdogs in it. You cut the hot dogs in half (but not all the way) then slice them along the outside so they don't curl. This is a great way to make a tasty hotdog anyway, but it also lets you layer 2 of them in one bun and still have room for ketchup/relish/mustard etc!!

You can also use traditional rolls/sandwich rolls with the flat hot dogs as well, and stack two of them on top of each other so the bread to hotdog ratio isn't so bad (this was useful even before I was diabetic!!).
