They just don't break in the middle of questions. It doesn't happen. Like ultimately this isn't a big deal and they're not going to get in trouble for it and it does happen and I wouldn't be totally shocked if Depp did it during his, but it's just extra egregious in this case that they went back and literally reconned things. It might happen if there wasn't a rule against it.
