I feel the mistake (assuming the report is correct) was specifically mentioning the topic of abortion in the company memo. If it was more of a blanket statement of: "We just want to remind our employees of the terms of our Employee Guidelines, which include refraining from internal discussions on politics, race, religion, etc. We must recognize that we are a diverse company with a multitude of diverse viewpoints, many which are polarizing. Please keep this in mind during your conversations and correspondences with our customers and your fellow employees."
