Any extra go into your gift box and need to be claimed within a certain time period (1 month for me) Yep, 10k is the limit for free gems you can carry in your wallet at any time, and anything else goes to your gift box where it can expire. I agree, it's dumb. Just keep saving, and if the gems in your box are about to expire, then spend a bit and claim the ones that are about to expire.
