It just got better going first now so I choose to go first and try to get Verte as soon as possible which can be done by hornet drones or Raye/Roze. Another reason is because you can use Artifact Ignition to directly set Scythe from the deck to the spell/trap zone and by destroying one spell/trap card we control. I personally think going first is better than second because some decks like Drytron/Synchros like to have multiple negates to stop our play so we can actually go first and disrupt their play as much as possible

What about if I'm not running the artifact stuff to Scythe Lock though? I don't even know what cards I need for it aside from the Scythe itself or what I would take out for them.
