You're missing the point. Being a straight-white male is a norm. But for example if I enter a school full of white people as a black guy or asian guy, and they know nothing about my ways or culture, discimination occurs.

This discrimination comes from a lack of understanding about their ways. A fear of the unknown which can be dispelled if they knew more.

Also, you're not required to do anything at all if you wish that. Except as a people, to grow we need to share our beliefs and cultures, no matter how different we are. Thats how new laws are made, and thats how society begins to accept people who are different from them, or the norm that has been established for so many years.
