(yeah, this game is not only surprisingly still alive, but it is experiencing a large uptick in the playerbase. the expansion released a few months (End of Dragons) ago also being well-received)

I'm trying to get back into the game but the initial hurdles of "get enough HP to make a cool spec functional" and "redo your entire gear set into the optimal one" are still pretty painful

I have a mostly functional wvw scrapper with another pve loadout, and with EoD's level boost i picked guardian for firebrand shenanigans which gave me celestial... which is alright for now but i still need some accessories. I don't have all the living worlds so my access to the usual stuff is pretty spotty... plus i also find questing and exploring to be aspects of the game i don't like very much. if i could keep to open world zergfests and wvw zergfests that'd be great but my faction right now is doing very poorly

also maybe i shouldn't have picked firebrand to focus in on for my level skip because i mostly dislike the engineers kits and tomes are similar, but too late now lmao. my couple of guild wvw zerg sessions as medkit scrapper were AWESOME (even if all i really functionally added to the table was stealth and swiftness.....)

once I get my firebrand in working order I might try out the new engie spec because I have a huge awkward love for summons (my other 3 characters are ranger, necro, and mesmer....)
