A basic rundown is that they lay you down on a table, clamp your eyelids to stay open Clockwork Orange-style, and shine a laser into your eyes that you just see as whiteness. It's very uncomfortable. Immediately afterward, like next ten seconds, my vision was sharper, but the world was very blurry, if you know what I mean by that.
