Probably an interesting discussion in the class. There are certain groups that are heavily fetishized and have specific portrayals and roles within pornography. I think it's a good discussion to have, especially for cultural studies. However, tuition prices are very high, and a college degree separates people by class more than intelligence these days imo. With the caveat that lower class people showcase their talent in an agreeable way for scholarships, or out themselves in debt for decades.

Pretty much this. There's also little overall social benefit to be had from it, since it's going to be taken pretty much exclusively by people who already recognize the cultural issues inherent in porn and are taking it because they're academically interested in exploring them, rather than people that haven't recognized those issues and would be sexually healthier if they received some education on the matter. There's a lot of potential merit in including something like this (though obviously not such a deep dive into the concept) in sex ed lessons for teenagers, but that comes with its own share of pitfalls and controversies that may outweigh the educational benefit.

...and that sucks the fun out of that.

Unless you're the sort of person who has fun analyzing sociological trends and issues as an academic exercise, which is exactly what academic institutions should be encouraging. You don't need to take a course to have a decent wank, after all.

Pretty much every group is heavily fetishized to a large degree. Singling them out is such a weird false narrative.

By definition, a group being "fetishized" means they've already been singled out to some degree or another. There's plenty of discussion to be had around examples and trends, most likely covering quite a few different ones and probably including whichever poor, neglected demographic you're presuming is going to be persecuted by this "false narrative" you're alluding to with careful innuendo.

That said, if you've got a group in mind that has been fetishized to a degree that you don't feel has been adequately recognized, this would be a good topic in which to discuss that. That is, presuming you're actually committed to the belief and aren't just tossing out one-off ideas that you have no intention of defending and will make up some excuse about being afraid of moderation to get out of having to do so.

The loans the government gives out for college. Should not be allowed to be used for this. This should be pay out of your own pocket.

Where do you think the funds used to repay those loans come from? For that matter, why should this be held to a different funding standard than any other academic interest course? And why did you use a period at a point where no punctuation would have been appropriate?
