GavsEvans123 04/17/22 10:21:23 AM #12: | The first one exceeded my low expectations. The second was every bit as bad as I expected the first to be, and then some. What I remember about it, without looking anything up: 1. There was this lady who switched babies on a boat because her baby was crying, and there was this big mystery about her, but she died at the end so the whole thing felt like a shaggy dog story. 2.Grindelwald wants to take over muggles because if he doesn't, the holocaust happens. 3.Credence came back even though in the first one he turned into a giant monster with a handy-dandy dose of magic G-Virus and then exploded. I don't remember if his survival was explained, or if it was a case of "Somehow Credence returned". Oh, and he's Dumbledore's previously-unknown, secretly evil twin brother. Because of that, I'm not interested in watching the third film. That said, I will give it some credit for finally making Gay Dumbledore explicit and factoring it into the plot, as opposed to treating it as a piece of easily ignored post-books trivia. When it didn't come up in the second film, I thought for sure it had been retconned away, so I'm happy to have been proven wrong. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
