Seattle is saturated with violent and insane homeless people, and when i stopped in Spokane for gas, we watched a bunch of really skeezy people get into a fist fight close to the homeless encampment under the interstate overpass note I have not been to "the south" except for Florida --- Props to azuarc, the current Guru of the Decade.
