I dont love this twist even though it was a common theory. It just feels like it retcons so much and I hope it ends up actually making sense with the past and this was always the plan.
Like how does that work with what we have seen to this point? If he is zoan then is his "normal" rubber self actually a hybrid form and he just hasnt changed in like 12 years? I mean admittedly the normal Human Human fruit also doesnt seem to work right so maybe that fruit type is just messed up.
personally I was hoping it would be revealed to be a Logia type and we would see our first Logia Awakening. With a liquid rubber power-up.
I wonder if Sengoku is able to turn his 'normal human' form into gold. That's the only other person whose fruit could really act the same way. Of course gold probably has significantly fewer use cases than rubber, though.
