I'm very glad I did this today as I got it in just before the patch. While I didn't abuse hoarfrost, I definitely relied on mimic tear being OP. Dude was kicking ass in my Melania fight. I gave him that black great sword that you can get from one of the last few bosses souls that decreases max hp meanwhile i used a faster blood weapon. The stagger worked great. He also put in some good work on the final boss who is irritating af as he runs around the field. New quests are pretty much all just for npcs that I screwed up on.
