Stafy/Starfy is the hero of the Densetsu no Stafy/The Legendary Starfy series. The franchise has five games; three on GBA, two on DS. (Yes, the series has been gone for quite a while) It is a platformer game. The main characters consist of Stafy/Starfy, who is neither a star nor a starfish despite a resemblance to both and loves collecting sunglasses, Kyorosuke/Moe the short tempered clam who is Starfys best friend, and Starfys energetic little sister Stapy/Starly, introduced in the third game and sometimes playable like Starfy is.

The first four games were never released internationally. The fifth one was, but its vastly different from the previous games, most notably having a completely different artstyle.

Starfy (referred to as Stafy in Brawl, as Brawl was released before the fifth Starfy game was) is an assist trophy in all three games with assist trophies, but is infamous for being super weak, compared to in his own series where hes of average strength.

Brawl used Stafys model from Densetsu no Stafy 4, and the other Smash games appear to continue to use this model despite Starfy going through a massive redesign in the fifth game, having rounder edges, pink blushes and a puppet-like mouth there, whereas before and in Smash, he has sharp edges, orange/red blush marks, and a typical anime-style mouth.

(Im sad to see Starfy go so soon, but I can understand why. I played all 5 games a long time ago. I enjoyed them. Well, except the fifth game. That one felt nothing like the prior games.

This is also the first elimination of a character to appear in all three games.
